We had some wonderful volunteers this season, and We had some wonderful volunteers this season, and our f-all stars shone extra bright!

🍃 Nathan -

Nathan has been volunteering with us since this summer, and we can't imagine a market without him! We don't know what we would do without his fun gardening facts, cool Pokemon cards, and word-searching skills! A market with Nathan, is a guaranteed fun time!

🍁 Luci -

Luci is a long time volunteer, joining us since the 2025 season! She is a vendor favourite, helping out every Thursday with making sure the vendors know where to go! But navigation is far from her only skill, and her and her partner even ran a children's ukulele lesson!

🍂 Alex -

Alex has been volunteering longer than the newsletter-author has been with the market! A true market regular, they bring comedic timing, esoteric knowledge, and fun (and tolerable!) sports facts! Truly a joy, there's always something to learn with Alex!

🌿Dro -

Now, if you were to ask Dro, he would tell you that his greatest volunteer skill is being an exploitable friend. However, if you were to ask the rest of the team, Dro is a flag-carrying, wire wrapping, cool-earring wearer extra-ordinaire!
As we wrap up the 2026 regular season at the New W As we wrap up the 2026 regular season at the New West Farmers Market, we're taking a moment to reflect on the impact we've made together.

Over the course of 32 market days, we welcomed 145 unique vendors to Tipperary Park, showcasing the very best of local food, agriculture, artisan products, and small business innovation. From returning favourites to first-time entrepreneurs, our vendors helped create a vibrant and diverse marketplace that truly reflects the spirit of our community.

This season also featured 16 special events, bringing people together through celebrations, community partnerships, educational activities, live entertainment, and unique market experiences that made each visit memorable. These included our Pie for Pride event, two Paw Parades, an Indigenous Medicine Circle Workshop, and so many more!

Most importantly, more than 32,000 community members joined us throughout the season. Every visit, conversation, contribution, and purchase helped support local farmers, food producers, makers, and entrepreneurs while strengthening our local economy and building community connections.

To our shoppers, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, performers, and community partners: thank you for making this season such a success! Your support is what allows the market to thrive and continue serving as a gathering place where local businesses can grow and our community can connect.

We can't wait to see you again at our Holiday Market on December 12 & 13 in front of New West City Hall as we celebrate another season of supporting local together.
