Born in Okinawa, the maker behind Vancouver favour Born in Okinawa, the maker behind Vancouver favourite food stall Tatchan Noodle is bringing a taste of home through traditional Okinawa Soba. Okinawa Soba is a beloved soul food made with wheat noodles, a savory bonito dashi broth, and tender braised pork belly.
Tatchan Noodle was inspired by Japan’s Traditional yatai - mobile street food stalls that serve comforting dishes that bring people together with their nostalgic charm

Congratulations to Breanna for being crowned New W Congratulations to Breanna for being crowned New West Best Baker in 2026! Her entry was a wonderful Blueberry and Lavender pie that had the judges wanting more! 

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the 2026 Pie for Pride, and to @newwestpride for partnering with us once again! Thank you to all of our bakers, volunteers, judges, and audience members. The event was such a wonderful showing of Pride and community, and we can't wait to see what pies next year brings!
In recognition of International Overdose Awareness In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, The New West Farmers Market is collaborating with the Purpose Society in hosting FREE Naloxone Training at the market on Thursday, September 3rd from 4:30-6:30 PM. Sign up for one of 6x 20 minute training sessions. RSVP at the link in our bio, or show up on the day and sign up at the market by our green Info Tent adjacent to Gary's Kettle Corn.

Naloxone is a life-saving harm reduction tool that can help reverse the effects of an active opioid overdose. Help keep our community safer through receiving your very own Naloxone kit!
