Mushroom Growing Workshop
October 8th  –  Tipperary Park  – 5:30 – 6:30 PM
 

Curious about growing your own gourmet mushrooms? Join the New West Farmers Market for a hands-on, beginner-friendly mushroom cultivation workshop facilitated by a NWFM vendor, Puria of Asahi Mushrooms!

On October 8th, at the New West Farmers Market, Puria will provide a short introduction to the mushroom-growing process, covering the basics of cultivation, then guide participants through the inoculatation process for their own pre-sterilized mushroom grow bag and learn how to care for it at home as the mushrooms develop.

The workshop is designed to be accessible to beginners, and all materials will be provided. You’ll leave with your own inoculated mushroom grow bag, supplies, and instructions to continue growing your mushrooms at home.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME SWAP
October 15TH – 29TH  –  Tipperary Park  – 3-7 PM

Have a gently used, clean costume you’re looking to give to a good home? Invited to 4 Halloween parties, but only have 1 costume? Community has got you covered at the New West Farmers Market. This October 15th – 29th, stop by our info booth to drop off last year’s costume – and scavenge for a new one, completely free of charge! You don’t have to leave a costume in order to take one. We want them all to go to a good home! So stop by and free yourself of your exploding Halloween costume bin – and support a waste-free, circular economy by picking up a new-to-you costume for yourself or a loved one.

Howl-o-ween Paw Parade
October 22nd  –  Tipperary Park  – 5:30 PM

Have the cutest pet ever and want to show the world? Longing for a reason to dress your pet in their finest fare?  Look no further than the NWFMs infamous Halloween Paw Parade! 
 
That’s right, we’re bringing back another opportunity to walk your pets down the New West Farmers Market’s infamous runway! This time: complete in their fur-raising Halloween costumes! 
 
Join us at the New West Farmers Market on October 22nd at 5:30 PM and walk your pet down our market runway wearing their Halloween costumes and our judges will crown the Best Dressed Pet in New West! 
 
Enter your pet below and gain eternal bragging rights by existing in proximity to New West’s best Pet AND for a prize!
 
 All pets welcome (dogs, cats, bunnies, etc.) as long as they are well-behaved and able to remain leashed.

Halloween Scavenger Hunt
October 29TH  –  Tipperary Park  – 5 – 6:30 PM
 

The New West Farmers Market is getting a twist on October 29th! Join us for a Halloween Scavenger Hunt!

Wander through the market, solve riddles hidden among your favorite local vendors, and collect goodies as you go. Whether you’re a tiny witch, a superhero, or just a pumpkin lover in disguise, there’s magic waiting around every corner.

There will be plenty of treats (and maybe a few tricks), prizes for scavenger hunt participants, and some surprise photo ops you won’t want to miss. Costumes are highly encouraged!

It’s all happening on October 29th, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in Tipperary Park! Bring your friends, your family, and your fall spirit — and come celebrate the season with your local market community
