We’re Back!

March 30, 2020 By

The New West Farmers Market is back!

However, it is not business as usual.

Our market is making an early move to Tipperary Park for our first market back this Thursday, April 2nd from 3-7pm. You can find us in Tipperary Park every Thursday from 3-7pm going forward.

In light of COVID-19 our market is much smaller, food and drink only, with limited numbers, hand wash stations, a carefully managed entrance to our fenced off market, no cash: only card, and any line up will be orderly and managed with 6 foot separation standing marks. There will also be no music, craft tent or community groups at the market for the time being. Shop, don’t stop!

For more information please refer to the official statement from our Board of Directors here.

This week you can find these vendors (more may be added closer to market day):

  • Anne’s Gallery (jam only)
  • Bowen Island Herb Salts
  • Corbicula Pollen
  • KICS Lemonade and Biscotti Joe
  • Koji Fine Foods
  • Oh Sweet Day! Bakery
  • Out West Ranches
  • Rockweld Farms Chicken
  • Wild West Coast Seafoods
  • Your Wildest Foods
The next market will take place on April 2, 2020 at Tipperary Park, New Westminster, from 11am to 3pm.

Land Acknowledgement

Our market is grateful to operate on the unceded land of the Qayqayt, Kwikwetlem, and other Halkomelem speaking Peoples. We acknowledge that colonialism has made invisible their histories and connections to the land. We acknowledge the incredible gift this land is to our market and BC Agriculture. We commit to the ongoing work of decolonization and allyship.
