Market Day: Thursday, June 1, 2017

May 30, 2017 By

The next market will take place on June 1, 2017 at Tipperary Park, New Westminster (see map below)
, from 3pm to 7pm
.

The summer market season is now in full-swing, and we are back again in Tipperary Park this Thursday. Thanks to all who made it out to the first market: a perfect summers day for it!

Which brings us to the weather… One of the realities of a farmers market that only sells locally produced goods is that we are at the mercy of the weather and the growing conditions.

We’re sad that we have so few produce vendors this week, but the reality is that all crops are very late, and some might not come at all. This is why we strive for balance, and why you se prepared and preserved goods, proteins, crafts, baking, and why we also have kids’ activities and music.

A farmers market is first and foremost about the produce, but we work hard to make sure there’s something for everyone, even when the produce vendors have to cancel. We can’t wait to see you on Thursday!
