Welcome to 2011! If your New Year’s Resolution list included “eating better” there is no place like a farmers market to get started on reaching your goal. We are chockablock with fresh, local produce and delicious foods and snacks. This month there is over 30 vendors offering an amazing selection of goodies to start you on your way to a healthier you in mind and body. Don’t forget to treat yourself to functional and beautiful handmade crafts.
On stage this month is our musical guest Geometric Shapes, a folk-pop trio of awesomeness. We’re also really excited to have our friends at Yoyomama.ca present Craft Caravan with free kids’ crafts in the lounge. Harmony Works Chair Massage will also be setting up shop in the lounge, so take a few minutes of time to stop in and check them out!
Our friends at Translink are again sponsoring our transit incentive draw – take transit, walk, or cycle to the market and be entered to win a 3 zone transit pass, good for whatever month you choose. The City of New Westminster is also sponsoring free parking at the downtown waterfront parkade – so grab some friends and carpool to the market.
The winter market is Saturday January 8th, from 10-2 at Holy Trinity Cathedral, located at 514 Carnarvon Street in New Westminster. It is very close to the Columbia Skytrain Station.
