New to New West? Volunteering with NWFM is a great way to feel connected in this city! We are proud of our friendly volunteer environment and hope you’ll consider joining us! We have volunteers of all ages and backgrounds and are proud of the diverse and fun environment we provide.

This year our market runs every Thursday, 3-7pm from March 28, 2024 to November 7, 2024. Our volunteers are usually concentrated into two shifts:

  • 1:30pm-5:00pm
  • 4:30pm-8pm.

We do not accept volunteers who are not available on Thursdays or not able to join us physically at the market.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must be listed on your application and we will follow up with parents and guardians regarding their teen’s application. We only accept volunteers under 14 if they volunteer with an adult (ie. a parent or guardian or someone approved by a parent or guardian). Have questions about your specific circumstances? Shoot us an email.

Have you been to our market or another farmers market before? (It's okay if you haven't!) What are you wanting to get out of volunteering? Do you need volunteer hours or is this just for fun or for making new friends? The more information you give us the better we can determine what kind of volunteering set up would work best for you.

Please indicate if you're looking to collect hours for high school graduation.

We see customers and community members from all walks of life, and our market is for every one of them. We only welcome volunteers who are able to support this mindset.

  • All of our market volunteer positions take place on Thursdays at the market in Tipperary Park, and cannot be fulfilled from home. We prefer market volunteers for these main two shifts on Thursdays. Please let us know which one works best for you.

If neither shifts are possible for you please select 'other' and we will try to accommodate as best we can. Please know that we may not be able to accommodate you under those circumstances but we will try our best.

  • If you are under 18, you will need a parent or guardian to sign off on this form on your behalf. We cannot have volunteers under the age of 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their volunteer shifts.
