Opening Market Success

June 11, 2011 By newwestfarmers

Although the day looked grey to begin with, by the time 3pm rolled around the sun was shining and the cannon was ready. Yes, that’s right. There was a cannon. This Thursday, June 9th, marked the opening of the Farmers Market for the summer season. It was a great success and I have the pictures to prove it!

I followed these lovely signs to get to the market! (Kindly put up by our awesome volunteers!)

It took three of these fine gentlemen to finally get the cannon going. But once they did, it was a great success!
Because the weather was so nice, we were able to enjoy some excellent Art in the Park!
Check out these tasty veggies from Apple Barn Pumpkin Farm!
Those excellent tunes you heard were from.....
One vendor even brought their pet chicken!
Did you check out our info booth? There's more then just information here, we also sell RCFM reusable bags and t shirts!
Here's on of the great samples the vendors had to offer! Some tasty Strawberry Fig balsamic vinegar from Nonna Pia's Gourmet Sauces!
Check out Sunrise Pita Company's excellent beef empanadas! Yum!
Serious Sausage? Seriously delicious!
I finished my trip to the market by enjoying this tasty, tasty snack! So good!
