Outwest Ranches

November 2, 2017 By

Outwest Ranches is a beef ranch out in South Surrey. They not only sell frozen beef from locally raised cattle, they also have eggs and seasonal nuts such as walnuts and hazelnuts. Carol Sandhoff, the owner of Outwest Ranches has been breeding and raising cattle for 25 years after deciding she wanted to sell her own quality products directly to the customer. This is a true family business as Carol’s mother has been on the farm for 75 years and Carol has been on the farm her entire life.

Rocky Point Ice Cream

May 19, 2017 By

Rocky Point Ice Cream started out in 1997 as a summer ice cream shop operating out of a tiny kiosk. Our ice cream was provided by another small batch operator in Vancouver and together we would come up with new flavours including our famous K9 Doggie Ice Cream. As the opportunity for us to expand our building and operation presented its self we jumped at it and would finally have the space to make our own small batch ice cream.

A Bread Affair

May 18, 2017 By

breadaffairlogo

We love bread … our love affair with the perfect loaf is what started A Bread Affair.

A Bread Affair has roots in our community, our agriculture and the unique blend of soil, climate and passion that is our life here on the Pacific coast.

We’re not a French bakery. We’re not an Italian bakery. We are of this place, Vancouver.

We stand for the unique brand of West Coast values. Your values. We bring sustainability principles and environmental practices into all of our baking and ingredient sourcing. We are against industrial food production, GMO’s and factory farming. We are for the humane treatment of animals.

We believe our bread is uniquely intimate because food should be about unbridled passion. We passionately craft your bread fresh each day with our own hands, reflecting our unique brand of intimacy. Connecting what you eat with our local farmers, our community, and our Earth.   You matter. Let us connect personally through food.

Break bread with us.
